Thanks to all who participated in the rain barrel making workshop this week. It was so much fun, you may find us offering workshops at other farmers markets this summer! Not only did participants learn to make a rain barrel that will allow them to use rain water rather than city water on their gardens, lawns and house plants, but they raised over $100 for the IWFM by participating in the IWFM rain barrel workshop! You can read a great review of the workshops with a step by step description on the blog of one of our participants: Read Here.

If you could not make it out for this rain barrel workshop, we’ll be doing another one this Friday evening at Invoke Yoga & Pilates Studio. Rain barrel reservations are nearly full, but as always, all are welcome to observe without a reservation, and you can come at 5:45 p.m. for a yoga warm-up before the workshop begins at 6:15. Attendance is by donation. Read more about other workshops in the Go Green Challenge on the April 3rd post below. Attendance to all are now by donation!
We are looking forward to having Constance Ferry at the market this Saturday, April 11th, with her Herbs & Perennials. Let’s hope the weather takes a turn for the better by then.
Also, you won’t want to miss the special Easter treat offerings this Saturday! We look forward to seeing you there!
