Get your hands dirty and volunteer with us!

In 2021, 400 volunteers completed over 1,700 hours.

Volunteers are a vital part of the success of Growing Places Indy. If you enjoy getting your hands dirty, working outdoors, learning new skills while contributing to the community, we welcome you to join us. Our volunteers help perform many tasks, including weeding, harvesting crops, seeding, and removing debris. Volunteer workdays are held every month, from April through October. No experience necessary, just a positive attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig in!

Individual Volunteer Opportunities

During the growing season, we have regular shifts on the farm throughout the week. There are typically additional opportunities to help with special projects and programs, depending on the time of year.

Group Volunteer Opportunities

We are able to host groups on the farm for volunteering opportunities, depending on the time of year and workload on the farm. We will do our best to organize projects to accommodate groups of various sizes. If you’d like to bring a group to the farm, please email a request to our Farm Manager, David, including a proposed day, time, and approximate number of people in the group.
