Veggie Share/CSA

Growing Places Indy offers a 10-week Veggie Share or CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) for individuals or families interested in picking up a weekly variety of fruits and vegetables over the summer.

Download the 2017 Veggie Share application here. Applications are due May 1, 2017.

A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) or Veggie Share program is a seasonal subscription for vegetables. Each summer, we typically have 25 shares available. The Veggie Share program lasts 10 weeks and participants pick up their bounty every Thursday, anytime between 4-7pm, at the Boner Fitness and Learning Center.

Our shares are designed for an individual who eats a lot of vegetables or a couple/family that cooks regularly. Part of our mission is to educate about local, sustainable food, and offering an introductory, short-season Veggie Share allows individuals and families to join at a lower price point and time commitment. In addition to a convenient share size, including 8-12 different items each week, we also offer a wide diversity of vegetables for those who want to sample much of what grows in central Indiana.

Veggie Share applications come out in early Spring and we advise interested parties to sign up immediately as shares tend to run out.

A sample share from last year’s program included:

  • Carrots
  • Celery
  • Leeks
  • Sweet Peppers
  • Kale
  • Eggplant
  • Husk Cherries
  • Red, Yellow and White Onions
  • Garlic
