How Food Defines Us - Storytelling & Pitch-In dinner
July 12 2011
Indy Fringe, 719 E. St. Clair St., 46202 Doors open @ 5:30, Storytelling begins @ 6 p.m.
FREE (donations accepted to benefit the Indy Fringe & Storytelling Arts of Indy)
Bring you favorite mid-summer dish to contribute to the Pitch-In, or just come and enjoy the stories!
No matter who you are or where you come from, food is a defining element of all our lives - be it through tradition, religion, culture, health, economics or otherwise. Leaders in the movement to create community around food will share their personal stories of how food has been a defining element in their life. You may bring your own 3-5 minute food story to the table during the open-mike portion of the program. You are also invited, though not obliged, to bring an edible dish to share in a Slow Food Indy pitch-in meal that will accompany the story-telling program.
